The Escudero village house is located in Aínsa, in the region of Sobrarbe. At an altitude of 580 meters and with 1,200 inhabitants, Aínsa has a privileged situation between France, the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido (declared Patrimony of the Humanity and Reserve of the Biosphere by UNESCO), the Natural Park of the Canyons and Mountains of Guara and the Natural Park Posets Maladeta.
Aínsa consists of two totally different parts, the commercial and modern part located around the confluence of the rivers Ara and Cinca and the medieval old town, declared Artistic Historical Monument.


 

     
  The Main Square of Ainsa, surrounded by porticos (XII and XIII centuries), along with the only two streets and the magnificent parochial church (XI and XII centuries) form one of the most beautiful medieval compounds of Spain.
Aínsa is the capital of the region of Sobrarbe, and it offers a wide range of services, shopping and tourist attractions.
